Context

Committed and aware of the considerable impact of the tourism industry, and more particularly the events industry, on the environment, Raising Stones Events wanted to make a stronger commitment to proposing effective and sustainable solutions to all stakeholders by creating the Event For Heritage association. The project was designed to operate regionally but with the potential to be duplicated on an European scale.

Event For Heritage offers effective and sustainable solutions to all stakeholders by developing three interconnected initiatives.

Objectives

The objective of Event for Heritage (created by the local DMC Raising Stones) on the French Riviera is:

To engage business events actors on the sustainability field by changing narratives and create an engaged community.
To provide them with actionable solutions in order to facilitate the implementation of sustainable practices.
To harmonize the 3 pillars of sustainable development: economic, social, and environmental.
To create on the French riviera and beyond a solid sustainability concept around the following 4 initiatives:
- AI Carbon Calculator to help customers to understand their climate impact and identify solutions to reduce i,
- Local associations with global impact in societal, marine wildlife and land biodiversity causes,
- the launch of a new beverage line with local taste dedicated to raise funds for the projects,
- Think Tanks to gather industry players to change the narrative and transform sustainably their business pratices.
To expand to other French and European regions thanks to these powerful tools and the replicability of the methodology.

Stakeholders

International event planners, corporate companies, local destinations management companies, tourism boards, convention bureaus, venues like hotels and convention centres but also e-mobility players, national, regional or local social and environmental associations.
